Influenced by our roots and by the flavours that have transcended borders, our authentic market-fresh cuisine showcases the high quality seasonal ingredients that Quebec has to offer.
From coveted tables on the mythical Rue Saint-Paul to a vintage decor with the famous turntable that creates a cozy atmosphere, Rioux & Pettigrew has been firmly anchored in Quebec City’s Old Port scene since 2017.
Dominic Jacques takes inspiration from seasonal arrivals and from the expertise of local farmers to carefully create every dish that passes through the serving hatch at Rioux & Pettigrew.
His passion for the perfect balance of flavours also led him to create an exclusive beer in collaboration with the Microbrasserie de l’île d’Orléans: the Narcisse Rioux, a RyePA made with peppery green alder and Quebec rye.
About
The 160 Rue Saint-Paul has always been a place where superior ingredients and service are the rule. Founded in 1860 by Narcisse Rioux, the Chez Rioux & Pettigrew General Store supplied restaurateurs, grocers, hospitals and religious communities with a wide variety of local and imported products.
Barrels of molasses, sacks of flour, sugar, oatmeal, canned fruits and vegetables, spices, nuts, raisins, chocolate and candy were all offered. You could even find alcohol until the Liquor Board was created in 1921!
Several relics from this era have found a place in our restaurant decor. Want to live the Rioux & Pettigrew experience?
